Here is the lineup for this years festival. As you can see, we have a wide variety of Irish entertainers for your enjoyment. This entertainment is brought to you by St. Brendan's Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Riverfront Irish Festival.

 

 

Rathkeltair

Taking top honors for "Best Celtic Rock Band" of 2006 in the Celtic MP3s Music Magazine Annual Audience Poll, RATHKELTAÍR (pronounced rath-KELT-ur) enjoys a loyal and growing international fan base. RATHKELTAÍR consists of bagpiper Neil Anderson and drummer Nick Watson, two original members of America's ground-breaking Celtic rock supergroup 7 Nations, and guitarist Trevor Tanner, front-man/lead guitarist/songwriter for The Bolshoi, one of the most influential UK rock bands of the late ‘80’s. 2006 was a crazy year for RATHKELTAÍR, with 'piper Neil Anderson being called up for a tour of duty in Iraq. The band down-shifted temporarily while Neil went off to serve his country.

 

 

The Sandcarvers

The Sandcarvers can make the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs. • The Sandcarvers will leave you wanting a whole lot more of the Sandcarvers.

Brigid's Cross

Weaving their versatile mix of traditional and contemporary celtic songs and tunes, they'll blend in some of their original music and parodies as well. Add to the fold a sprinkling of music from many different eras, plus a healthy dose of humor, and you have the ultimate Irish party band! You also have a band that appeals to everyone from toddlers, all the way to kids in their 80's and 90's!

 

 

The New Barleycorn

'The New Barleycorn' ---- present their live Irish show with vitality, passion and a touch of humor, singing and playing both contemporary folk and traditional Celtic songs and music, which they have woven into their own musical tapestry of intricate rhythms and melodies. Alec and John have performed live and on many television and radio shows, both together and separately in such places as Ireland, U.S.A., Canada, Australia, and the U.K.

Fergie and the Bog Dogs

One of Northeast Ohio's favorite Irish Pub Bands, Fergie & the Bog Dogs delights in bringing the beauty of traditional Celtic music to a modern audience. From the ancient jigs and reels - with melodies often recognizable to fans of modern Country music - to hard-hitting rebel tunes, lilting ballads and uproarious story songs, an evening with Fergie & the Bog Dogs is a journey through the history of Ireland itself.

 

 

Pat Flynn and the Green Blossom Special

Reviews have described Green Blossom Special's performances as lofty, breathtaking, lively, highly entertaining and fun. There is never a dull moment at a Green Blossom Special performance. Callahan and O'Connor

Since 1984, this high-energy Irish group from Akron, Ohio, has been entertaining audiences all over the northeastern United States. Paul Callahan, Kevin O'Connor, Jim Butke, Mike O'Connor and Ritch Underwood combine great folk songs, rebel tunes, serious ballads and humorous songs with original material that is sure to delight everyone-young and old.
